At-Taqwa Tours, we are pleased to announce that in March 2026, UK Muslims of sincerity can easily travel for their Pilgrimage or visit relatives there.
Booking is now open for March 2027 departures. Whether you’re travelling solo, as a couple, or bringing the whole family, Taqwa Tours puts together your flights, hotels, transfers and Umrah permit as one straightforward package — no chasing separate bookings, no guesswork.
Our Umrah bundels are available in all cities across the UK. Whether you come from London, Manchester, Birmingham, Leeds, or any other city, we are here to help arrange your religious journey. Specifically, that means to the holy cities of Makkah and Madinah (Al Madinah al Munawwarah) during the blessed month of March every year.
March 2027 isn’t an ordinary month on the Islamic calendar — it carries the final stretch of Ramadan and the start of Shawwal. Based on current moon-sighting projections, Ramadan 1448 is expected to begin around 7–8 February 2027 and end around 8–9 March 2027, with Eid al-Fitr following straight after. As with every Hijri date, the exact start and end depend on the moon sighting, so treat these as close estimates rather than fixed dates.
That means March 2027 splits into two very different — and both very meaningful — windows for Umrah:
This is the most spiritually significant stretch of the Islamic year, the period in which Laylat al-Qadr is sought. The Haram is at its busiest and most emotionally charged during this time — long queues, packed Taraweeh and Tahajjud prayers, and an atmosphere unlike any other time of year. If this is the experience you’re after, book as early as possible; demand and prices for Ramadan dates rise fast, and hotels near the Haram sell out months ahead.
Once Eid al-Fitr passes (expected around 8–9 March), the crowds thin out noticeably and the pace in the Haram returns to something calmer. Shawwal also carries its own significance — fasting six days in Shawwal, following the month of Ramadan, is a well-known Sunnah. For pilgrims who want a quieter, more spacious Umrah without the Ramadan crowds or pricing, the back half of March is worth considering.
Ramadan-period flights and hotels move fast and cost more than any other time of year — book as early as you can if you’re targeting the last ten nights. If you’re aiming for Shawwal instead, you’ll generally find better availability and pricing once the Eid rush has passed. UK Easter holidays also tend to fall in late March or early April, which can add pressure to flights around that window too.
We keep our packages simple: three durations, each built around a sensible Makkah/Madinah split so you’re not rushing from one city to the other. Let us know whether you’re aiming for the last ten nights of Ramadan or a Shawwal departure after Eid — the dates you choose affect flight and hotel pricing significantly, so it’s worth telling your Taqwa agent upfront.
Package | Duration | Makkah / Madinah Split | Best Suited For |
Short Break Umrah | 7 nights | 4 nights Makkah, 3 nights Madinah | Those working around annual leave |
Standard Umrah | 10 nights | 5 nights Makkah, 5 nights Madinah | First-timers, couples, small families |
Extended Umrah | 14 nights | 7 nights each city | Families with elderly parents, those wanting unhurried worship time |
For current pricing on 2027 departures, get in touch with our team directly. Rates depend on hotel category, flight route, and how far ahead you book — and expect a noticeable difference between Ramadan dates (higher demand, higher prices) and Shawwal dates (calmer, generally better value).
To keep pricing transparent, a few things sit outside the standard package and are paid for separately:
If anything is unclear on your quote, just ask your Taqwa agent to confirm — we’d rather explain it upfront than surprise you with it later.
We don’t lock you into one hotel list — if there’s a specific hotel you’ve seen reviews for, tell your Taqwa agent and we’ll look into adding it to your package.

March weather can shift through the month, so layering is your best strategy — pack for mild days and cooler mornings/evenings.
If you’re travelling during the last nights of Ramadan: pack a few dates and a reusable water bottle for iftar/suhoor while queuing or praying, comfortable prayer wear you can sit in for extended periods (Taraweeh and Tahajjud run long), and a small cushion or foldable stool if you or an elderly family member will be sitting through long stretches of worship. Crowds are heavier, so keep valuables secure and consider a cross-body pouch rather than a loose bag.
We try to make paying for your Umrah as flexible as possible.
Get in touch with our team, let us know your preferred dates in march for year 2027 and group size, and we’ll put together your options for hotels, flights and payment. From there, we handle the permit, transfers and logistics — you focus on the journey.
