Eid ul Fitr marks the end of Ramadan and the start of Shawwal. In 2027, it is expected to fall around 9–11 March 2027, depending on moon sighting since Islamic months and days depend on the sighting of the moon, and Eid al-Fitr will not fall until the new crescent moon is sighted. UK-based calculations currently point to the crescent being sighted on the evening of 10 March 2027, so Eid is likely to be observed either that evening or the following day
Because the exact date always depends on the sighting, we recommend confirming with your local mosque as the date gets closer, and keeping flexible Ramadan/Umrah travel plans until then.
